What The 10% Is Taken From

Counted: every Fruitful payment received

Monthly and annual subscriptions alike, counted in the month we receive the payment.

Counted: the full amount, before Stripe fees

Stripe keeps roughly 3% of each payment. We do not subtract it first. The tithe is on what came in, not on what we kept, which makes the real rate slightly above 10% of our take-home.

Subtracted: refunds and chargebacks

A payment returned to a subscriber was never income, so it comes out of that month's basis. If it is refunded after we have already given, the basis drops in the month the refund clears. We never ask for a transfer back.

Not counted: money that is not subscription revenue

The Faithful plan is free and earns nothing. There are no ads, no data sales, no affiliate fees, and no investor money. If a new revenue source ever appears, it gets added here before it gets spent.
